Why I Started Reading Supplement Labels — And What I Found
I was paying nearly $80 a month for a daily greens powder. I trusted the brand, the marketing was beautiful, and I figured if it cost that much it had to be worth it.
Then one day I actually sat down and tried to figure out exactly how much of each ingredient I was getting. Not the ingredient list — the actual milligram amounts.
I couldn't find them.
What I found instead was a single number next to a long list of ingredients. A proprietary blend. That number tells you the total weight of everything combined. It tells you nothing about how much of any single ingredient is actually in there.
That bothered me more than I expected. I was consuming this every single morning, trusting it was doing what the marketing promised, and I had no way to verify any of it.
What I Did About It
So I started researching. I looked into manufacturers, ingredient sourcing, what doses are actually used in published research for ingredients like ashwagandha and probiotics. I learned that a lot of the proprietary blends in popular supplements use doses well below what research shows is actually effective — they just don't have to tell you that.
I decided I wanted to know exactly what I was putting in my body. Not estimate it. Not trust a brand's word for it. Know it.
That's the entire reason Claro Greens exists. Every milligram of every ingredient is listed publicly — on the label and on our website. No proprietary blend. No guessing. Just the actual numbers.
What Full Transparency Actually Looks Like
Most brands can't do what we do because doing it requires confidence in your formula. If your ingredients aren't dosed at meaningful levels you can't publish the numbers without exposing that fact.
We publish ours because we're confident in them. Organic Wheatgrass at 1,020mg. Organic Moringa at 510mg. Bacillus Coagulans at 5.1mg — a heat-stable probiotic strain that actually survives digestion. Organic Inulin at 408mg to feed the probiotic. Every single number on the label and on this website.
You can look at those numbers, compare them to published research, and decide for yourself whether they meet the standard. We want you to do that. That's the whole point.
I'm 20. I built this because I wanted to know what I was paying for. If you feel the same way, I think you'll appreciate what we built.
